The larger flowers was from a stem of silk flowers I bought I took them apart and added gemstones to the centers. The paper I used is from Prima Marketing. I added pieces of lace ribbon and metallic corners to the photo and a small my minds eye tile.

Also on the right side is a butterfly which was printed on a used, dried out teabag and then decoupaged onto the burlap which was first glued to the book cover, embellishments and lace were added and some rub ons, Tim Holtz metal corners and graphic 45 embellishments.

Picture Frame

This is something new I did. I had this old frame and wanted to do something with it to hang in my craft room, so I made a scrapbook layout on it. First, I glued some scrapbook paper to a piece of cardboard and antiqued the edges with some brown distress ink from Tim Holtz inks. I used some rub ons to add a little color, a beautiful pearl and flower sticker for the center. I used my Cricut machine and the Fancy frames cartridge to cut out the picture frames, I antiqued a piece of lace with roses by dipping it in coffee. I made an antiqued looking flower again by using some distress ink. I then just added some embellishments. I thought it was a great way to use a dusty old frame!

Flower Wreath

Here is a paper flower wreath that I made. I used the Flower Shoppe Cartridge with my Cricut machine and cut out 200 flowers using brown and vanilla cream. I inked the edges of the vanilla cream paper with brown ink, rolled each flower, glued the bottoms together, then spread the petals out and attached each one to a Styrofoam wreath using pearl pins. It's a new edition to hang up in my craft room.

I cut out the butterflies using tim holtz die cut, then I merged 2 pieces of paper on each one and aged then using distress inks and added some gemstones. I used a metal flower to center on the ribbon, I added some rub ons from K & C company, and some faux pearls. I also aged the flower by dipping it in coffee.

Pretty Lady

I loved the dress in this one and she looks so elegant I just thought of butterflies! I made th butterfly with my Cricut machine and the art noveau cartridge, I antiqued it a bit with Tim Holtz distress ink purple color and added some gemstones to it. I also made the circular decoration using Cricut Damask cartridge and added the gemstone. The paper behind photo is brown tissue paper which I tore and then aged with the same purple distress ink. I then added some purple colored eyelets. The white butterflies are from Martha Stewart collection. I then added a strip of purple ribbon across the bottom and added a flowered boarder.

A Dapper gentleman

This is my latest layout. I used this great steampunk styled paper from DCW. I cut out the frame using my cricut machine. I then embossed it and sprayed it with gold stickles paint to give it an old look. Then I added some tacks to the corners of the photos, used some rub ons for the key and the words and glasses, Then I took some chain I had and added them with a gemstone brad and a metal clock face

my page

This is a photo of my mom when she was a little girl. One of the things I love about this photo is that she is holding a doll that I think is one she always talked about and treasured, it was given to her by her grandfather. I used two different papers for this one, I love the new shape of this, then I added a vellum frame, I did a little stamping, added some eyelets to tie blue ribbons and did a rub on of the word remembering. I tried to use a lot of blue because that was my moms favorite color.....

Contest Page

This is a page I just finished to enter on Cosmocricket.typepad.com. It's for a chance to be published in Scrapbook trends Magazine. You have to follow a layout they posted. This is my first time doing anything like this, but I thought I would try it.....

This is a picture of my grandfather when he made his first Communion.

First thing I did, was to age a tag using some coffee and grinds. Then I used a rub on to put the decoration on it and did the journaling on my PC. I added some great ribbon around the photo, aged the papers with some distress ink, then added some eyelets and embellishments. Used another rub on for the word Love under the photo, added some twine to an old button. Then I used a great antique looking nameplate for the title. I also found this great leaf ribbon which I used on the top for a border. Then I put some corners on the large paper.

Finally finished this one

This page I have redone like 3 times! I think I finally got it right. I glued velvet ribbon around the photo and the bottom of page. I took a vellum saying and cut it to fit into a pre-cut sticker frame. The big flower on top was silver glitter, but I painted it gold and aged the pearls a little bit before attaching it. Then I added the embellishments and aged around the paper by rubbing distress ink on it. I didn't want to overdo it because the background paper is so pretty, I was afraid to add too much and take away from it.

Another new page

I finally had time to do another page. With this one, I aged the paper with distress ink and added some eyelets and pins and then I added the ribbon with some tiny buttons on them, made a little collage on the bottom left, printed up a name tag and glued it inside the nameplate, added some twine to a key and hopefully I got the right feel of when the photo was taken.
